Brother Larry Carter Sr.(Dad) took personal interest in me, a young adolescent, at a very delicate time in my life. All in obedience to the command to look after the fatherless boy. That interest provided a peak into what a servant of Jehovah, what a father, and what a man could and should be.(1Kings 2:1-3) It took time(some years) for me to see the gem of his efforts. Although life for me is still a work in progress, I'm very grateful to Jah, though, for the timing of our meeting. Also for the opportunity to thank him personally for being there for me at that time. I said Dad because that's just the thought that comes to mind when I've thought about those moments. His way of communicating and teaching... unique. Balanced. Serious and yet tempered with a healthy dose of funny bone. A gift. Although imperfect, he made no excuse to shy away from the work he was given to do for the King. A fine example. He rests now, safely in Jehovah's memory. I pray that Jehovah actively supplies power by virtue of his spirit to his loved ones that will endure and carry him close in their memory. We look forward to seeing
