Johnny Dozie Lee Richardson is predeceased by his parents: Pastor Dozie Lee and Mrs. Thelma Richardson; sister, Carolyn Allen; brother, Jermone Richardson, and granddaughter, Layla Richardson.
Mr. Richardson served in the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge on June 24, 1977, in Fort Jackson, SC. Johnny worked various jobs, self-employed. He was an intelligent handyman. He had a passion of working on cars and houses. When he worked on your car, one thing he would tell his customers that you would not come back with the same problem. He made sure of that. Customers were satisfied with a smile.
Johnny enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing chess and card games, watching movies, being a computer wiz and reading the Bible. Quote: “Don’t watch what I say; watch what God do!"
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle of Prayer since 2003, under the leadership of Bishop Paul Parnell. He served as an usher, sang in the Men’s choir and was always helpful and willing to cook. He was especially anointed in playing the tambourine, which we all will truly miss! He loved Bishop Paul and First Lady Myrtle Parnell. They were his second Dad and Mom, whom he called just that.
Johnny leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife of 16 years C.
