Obituary for Geraldine Flowers

Geraldine  Flowers
MINISTER GERALDINE FLOWERS was born November 23, 1934 in Cordell, Georgia. She had been a resident of Rochester, New York since the age of 11. A student in the Rochester City Schools, she graduated from Jefferson High School. She later married the late Adam Flowers Jr.
Minister Flowers truly loved God and her church, Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center Church, where she had been a member for 52 years. Her commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God was seen in her exemplary life as a Minister, Head of the Missionary Department, a Sunday School teacher for many years, and as a member of the Women’s Jail Ministry. She will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking and talent for preparing mouth-watering dishes. She also believed in providing for her family. She was employed by Bausch and Lomb, from which she retired.
Minister Flowers went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2018. She is predeceased by: her parents; husband, Adam Flowers Jr. two
children, Sandra Blas and Valdee Flowers; four brothers: Benjamin Smith, James Thomas Smith, Robert Otis Smith and Porter L. Divine Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Luther (Mary) Flowers and Deon (Stephanie) Flowers; one daughter, Linda Flowers, all of Rochester, New York; grandchildren: Patrick and Jermaine Blas, Darius Wynn, Kiara and Kadesha Flowers, Valerie (Chad) McDonald, Rashad Flowers, Domoniquec Washington,
Ryan Smith, Justin Ewing, Savannah Jordan, Luther Flowers Jr., Kaniesha and Shawn Gray, Shabria Flowers, Keorah Flowers,
Le’Tise (Tony) Smith, Sheka (Courtney) Minor and Janelle Flowers; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel Divine Sr. of Rochester, New York; one sister, Minnie Harris of Avon Park, Florida; a special cousin, Bishop Willie Smith Jr. and a host of PMDCC family and friends.

Friends may call Friday August 10, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center 923 Portland Ave. Funeral service Saturday 11am at the church. Interment Groveplace Cemetery.
