Joe D. Miller of Rochester, NY went home Sept. 10, 2014 after battling Lung Cancer at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY Joe was born in Brownsville, TN on June 5, 1935. Joe was the son of Mango and Lorena Miller and he is Joined in Death with his wife, Ruby M. Miller, sisters, Ann Taylor, Ardean (Leo) Freelon, Mamie Boyd, Estella Austin: brothers, Otis Miller, James Austin, RT Miller, Mango Miller Jr., nieces, Geraldine Daniels, Anne Chaney, Doris (Ralph) Coney, granddaughter Quyisha.
He went to school in Mt. Erie, TN. Joe worked various jobs as a Night Security Guard for Bausch & Lomb, and General Motors, but he mostly enjoyed driving. If anyone asked him to take them to any part of the United States, he would do it, but as his wife would say, make sure someone stays awake with him or you might look over and he is sleep driving (smile).
Joe is survived by sons, Thomas C. (Johnnie Mae Brand) Wade, Joseph D. Miller and Special Friend Rochelle, Vernell Miller & Clarence L. Miller all of Rochester, NY. Daughters, Ardean Miller-Patterson of Rochester, NY, Ruth Ann (Edward0 Turner of Chesapeake, VA., Betty J. (Billy) Smith, Julia M. Miller & Angela D. Miller all of Rochester, NY., brother, James Walker of Saint Louis, MO. He also leaves to mourn 15 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren & 5 Great Great Grandchildren as well as other family and friends.
